1. Overview

Picturesque Vineyards, delicious wine and a generous serving of Georgian Culture await you at Kakheti the country’s thriving wine-producing region. Situated in the Eastern part of Georgia, this Kakheti tour is perfect for wonderful views of the extensive vineyards with the Caucasus mountains looming in the backdrop, trying your hands at Georgian food, drinking some Chacha, learning more about the history of winemaking in Georgia and taste different types of wines.

The first stop of this tour will be the village of Badiauri, where we will visit a local bakery and try yummy Georgian bread, cheese, and Georgian Vodka locally known as Chacha. The next stop is the Bodbe Convent which is predicted to be constructed on the burial site of Saint Nino who was a patron saint of Georgians who converted to Christianity. The location is very spiritual with stunning views that can beautify your Instagram feed.
Next on the itinerary will be Sighnaghi, nicknamed "Love City." Here you will go on a walking tour and learn about The Great Wall of Georgia. After the walking tour is complete, you can enjoy lunch and sample traditional Georgian cuisine with a stunning view of the Alazani Valley.
The fourth stop of the day is Khareba Winery, Georgia's largest wine cellar. This state-of-the-art facility preserves the traditional style of wine-making, maintains perfect wine storage conditions and has approximately 7.7 kilometres of tunnels. Enjoy the sound of Georgian folk songs and experience a walking tour through the tunnel. Stop at the tunnel's ethnographic museum where you can learn about the Georgian wine-making procedures. End the experience with a wine tasting experience. Finally, stop for a tour at Corporation Kindzmarauli, a winery that was established in 1533 and produced wine for the royal family. End it with a tasting of four different wines.

Badiauri Bakery is a place where you can taste delicious Georgian bread, cheese, and Chacha which is Georgian vodka, as well as make your own Georgian traditional bread in a unique method.

The St. Nino Bodbe Nunnery is located in Kakheti, 2 kilometres from Sighnaghi and is thought to have been built on the site of Saint Nino's burial. Saint Nino is a patron saint of Georgians who converted to Christianity. The Georgian kings were very interested in the Bodbe Monastery which is why it has been repaired and restored numerous times.

Signagi is a town in Kakheti, about 75 kilometres east of Tbilisi. The Great Wall of Georgia encircles the city of Signagi and provides stunning photographic opportunities. Signagi is approximately 5 kilometres east of Tbilisi and is a picturesque town in Kakheti. Many of Georgia's small towns are centrally located in Georgia's wine-growing region and are popular with tourists because of their scenery, vibrant cottages and narrow cobblestone streets.

Participate in a Khachapuri cooking masterclass and then sample a variety of delicious Georgian dishes. Also, learn to make your own Khachapuri and drink some good wine. Have a tasty lunch while looking out over Alazani Valley from the top which is one of the most fantastic experiences you must do while in Georgia.

Winery Khareba is Georgia's largest wine cellar with galleries maintaining a constant temperature of 12-14 degrees celsius, excellent wine storage conditions and 7.7 km of tunnels. You will go on a walking tour of the tunnel with a local guide where you will learn more about wine and taste it. You will also stop at the museum in the tunnel.

Corporation Kindzmarauli's history dates back to 1533 when the region's historical Kvareli fortress was built. For much of its history, the fortress's wine cellar produced wine and molasses exclusively for the royal families, but it is now open to the broader market both locally and internationally.
